latents: Multilevel Latent Profile, Class and Transition Models
Fits single-level and multilevel latent profile and class models, latent transition models, and mixture regression and growth models for studying unobserved heterogeneity. Supported measurement models accommodate continuous, categorical, ordinal, count and mixed indicators. Provides model comparison, parameter inference, classification diagnostics and graphical summaries, with additional methods for membership covariates, staged estimation and analyses of external variables that account for classification error. Observed-data likelihood methods are available for incomplete indicators, and supported transition models can be represented as networks using the 'tna' package. The multilevel latent class formulation follows Vermunt (2003) <doi:10.1111/j.0081-1750.2003.t01-1-00131.x>.
